If you are not already familiar with Devin Miles, allow us to introduce you to the Pittsburg-based hip hop artist who will undoubtedly grow in popularity in the coming months. Miles has already garnered a respectable collection of accolades during his short time in the game, producing for the likes of Mac Miller (Miles is a trained classical pianist), featuring alongside Juicy J, and receiving a (big) cosign from T.I. Judging off of his newest release, a song produced by Ricquo Jones entitled “Sundress”, Miles has the musical prowess to justify all of these achievements.
The wavy record features hard-hitting drums, bird calls, and a trippy, synthesized flute that collectively creates a song worthy of a sun-related title. Miles rides the beat effortlessly as he sets the mood for the record with lines like, “And you switch when you walk, and I look there in awe, and you swear that I was hypnotized / Shit, I can’t lie / You got me in a trance with your smile, and your hair long down your backside.”
