Dessert is a Los Angeles trio with two songs to their name. And one is the new “Lovelink”. For the first 45 seconds it sounds like something with love in its title. And then it switches over to what sounds like the audio track of a tense movie scene. Like, it could be a scene where someone is lying helpless in an emergency room bed as that hospital equipment beep keeps beeping. But then you see the villain, in a dimly lit hallway on the second flour, ripping a steel box open to kill the lights and the backup generator. And then other movie stuff happens. But then there’s this nice part of the song where it sounds like the villain just wanted to surprise the patient with “Get Well Soon” balloons. So forget everything I just said.
