Craft beer and hip-hop heads, unite! It looks like acclaimed microbrewer Dogfish Head and Deltron 3030 have joined forces to create a beer combing Dan the Automator’s favorite ingredients and Dogfish’s brewing skills. Not only that, but the limited release will come by way of a set of six 750-ml champagne bottles, that comes with a 10″ EP of four exclusive Deltron 3030 remixes. Oh, and the project is being called Positive Contact, after the Deltron 3030 single of the same name.
And for any beer geeks out there (including myself, follow me on Untappd), Positive Contact will come in at a whopping 9% ABV. The ingredients are resembling something closer to an apple cider, with “Fuji apples, roasted farro, a handful of cayenne peppers and a late dose of fresh cilantro.” I am not a huge fan of fruity beers, but this is sure to hold up among the most exciting beer collaborations yet. Positive Contact is due out in May, while Deltron 3030’s sophomore full-length Deltron Event II is looking like a Spring release. [via]
