Delicate Steve – “Wondervisions” feat. Nat Baldwin

I have been majorly out of the loop lately when it comes to music, so forgive me if I sound like a real newb every once and a while. This is the first time I have heard of Delicate Steve, so thank Nat Baldwin of Dirty Projectors for catching my eye as I stalked Stereogum. But after checking out the situation a bit, I learned that Delicate Steve is an instrumental project that fellow New Jersey native Steve Marion has been working on. This single “Wondervisions” doubles as the title track for Delicate Steve’s upcoming Wondervisions, which will be available in Feburary of 2011 via Luaka Pop. Since “Wondervisions” is a lead single, they decided to keep it as a purchase only, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t accompanied by an incredibly freaky music video that featured Nat Baldwin and Marion partaking in a vintage game of 1-on-1. I also included an earlier leak, “Butterfly”, which further exemplifies Marion’s prowess as an instrumentalist, and also because it was what all the cool blogs were doing. Enjoy!
