The first single from Deer Tick‘s new album is a catchy little love letter, sounding a little like The Replacements and a lot like their live performances. According to the press release, “…(W)e wanted to make a record that was truer to our live set: raw, loud, heartfelt, and completely uninterested in whatever the hell the rest of the music industry is up to.” They certainly succeed and we’re increasingly interested in Divine Providence, dropping Oct. on Partisan Records.
