Ever wonder what Kanye West thinks about words like “bitch” and “n*gga” as they pertain to hip-hop? Well, if you have, then you’re in luck. The Chi-city native went in yesterday on his Twitter account about the two terms and whether or not they’re acceptable. He also questions whether or not we’ve been conditioned to be OK with the terms by way of their relevancy in rap lyrics.
Is Kanye right? Is he just making a point to say all this because he’s about to drop a single named “Perfect Bitch”? Who knows, but hit the comments section and tell us your thoughts. [via]
I usually never tweet questions butI struggle with this so here goes…Is the word BITCH acceptable?
— Kanye West (@kanyewest) September 2, 2012
Has hip hop conditioned us to accept this word?Do we love this word as much as we love the word NIGGA in an endearing way?
— Kanye West (@kanyewest) September 2, 2012
correction,Here’s the age old question, would we refer to our mothers as bitches? Would’ we call our fathers niggers or better yet NIGGAS?
— Kanye West (@kanyewest) September 2, 2012
Perhaps the words BITCH and NIGGA are now neither positive or negative. They are just potent and it depends on how the are used and by whom?

I was recently questioned about the use of the word BITCH in my music and initiallywas offended by anyone questioning anything in my music

KRS was asked about “bitch” at a hip hop consul a couple months back and pussy-footed around it’s usage. Chuck D and Killer Mike are pretty much the only rappers I care to hear about debating shit off wax.
Kanye West has changed. At least to me. he used to be more of a conscious rapper, but now he is as much conscious as lil wayne. I am just saying that he used to be rapping about Blood Diamonds and now he is rapping about Kim Kardashian.
I just wasted 1 minute of my life. I should’ve known better than to read anything Kanye West has to say, especially about this topic. Just listen to Lupe’s Bitch Bad song and watch the video and be done with it! Personally, I’m an African American, and occasionally, I’ll joke around with my male, African American friends by using “nigga”. However, I’ve gotten to the point where unless I’m reciting lyrics from a song or quoting something someone else said, I only use “bitch” and “nigga” in the negative, derogatory ways, out of anger for what people do and who I feel they are (acting like).
ROFL
KANYE’S A BITCH NIGGA!
As PE said, “don’t believe the hype”. Do you think a few tweets questioning the validity of these words holds weight? Kanye is promoting his single “Perfect Bitch’, with a dose of hypocrisy. I’m more inclined to hear what Chuck D and KRS have to say about the topic. I saw Kanye in the UK at a festival a couple of years ago. He likes to rant, and at the same time he is saying nothing.
Honestly I’m sick of both those words and Kanye keeps using them because he is illuminati. Kids think they are fun to use and they continue to breed discontent and discomfort between people on many levels.
