Time to put your serious side away, folks, and just enjoy these two tracks for the pieces of trashy insanity that they are. Datahowler, formerly known as Objektiv One, has been steadily building a buzz with some new dream-pop that combines the better elements of chillwave and electronica. But when he’s not doing that, the one-man music machine puts on his drinking hat and goes balls out to create some disgustingly catchy mash ups. Yeah, we know, mash ups are gross, icky, stupid, and foolish, but for fuck’s sake, they’re also fun as hell.
Today, we bring you the first two off Datahowler‘s upcoming series of crammed-together goodies. One side A, we have “Two Words” by Kanye West, Mos Def and Freeway slammed into Stars’ “Charming”, which takes the otherwise abrasive rap joint and makes it melt into summery goodness. Side B, on the other hand, features slut-music extraordinaire Ke$ha doing her “Blah Blah Blah” bullshit over the disco stylings of Groovejet’s “Ghosts Of Venice”. Sadly, it makes me want to actually listen to her drunken skank debauchery and not shoot myself in the face. Well done, Datahowler. Well done.
