We have the very sad news to report that Das Racist have indeed called it quits. According to Pitchfork, Heems announced the following at a show last night in Munich:
“You guys wanna know the secret? Alright, so I’m going to do some Das Racist songs, but Das Racist is breaking up and we’re not a band anymore.”
P4K then reached out to the group’s team who declined to comment on the matter. But apparently Kool A.D. heard what his former cohort said and tweeted out the following:
for the record i quit das racist 2 months ago and was asked by our manager not to announce it yet. apparently @himanshu wanted to do it tho.

Well, shit, guys, I had a bad feeling this was going to happen but … sigh. At least they’re killing it with their solo material, right?
