Hailing from the Tangent Universe is Darko The Super, a proudly abstract rapper/producer with influences ranging from MF DOOM to Frank Zappa (nice!). Darko’s got a new album, Loser, on the way that’s set to feature instrumentals from Starchild, David Straange (fka KVZE), Potholes Music’s own AbJo, and others. But on lead single “Funk Is Life”, Darko’s taken the production helm to craft a superbly experimental and bugged-out cut that features PIMB favorite Open Mike Eagle. If this is any indication of what the rest of Loser will sound like, then I highly suggest contributing to the IndieGogo campaign to make sure this thing gets a proper release.

I think that might be a Zappa sample at the end. The funk ain’t dead!
