Damu the Fudgemunk – “Brooklyn Flower”

Yes, yes, yes! One of my favorite producers is back at it. Damu the Fudgemunk pays homage to the borough of Brooklyn this time around, flipping some pleasing guitar samples, throwing in some horns for good measure and topping it all off with the requisite Brooklyn vocal samples. Oh and lest we not forget the original sample from De La Soul’s “Magic Number”. Oh and how about that Digable sample in here too. That’s what makes many of Damu’s beats so great – the vast number of samples in any one track can be enormous, yet still recognizable. Anyway, be sure to stay tuned for what Damu, Redefinition Records, and Slice of Spice Records have in store for 2011. It’ll be a good year!
