Future-vintage funk aficionado Dam-Funk let this little beauty slip out about a month ago via Soundcloud, and while it might not be brand new, you could argue that it never really was- “Bionic Pu**y” was originally recorded for his Toeachizown project circa 2008 and just recently saw the light of day. It prominently features those glowing, funky analog synths that make the “Funk” portion of the man’s alias more than an empty promise. Those synths get an expansive six-minute workout over a minimal, strolling 808 beat and a gentle Rhodes pad. It sounds like an especially blunted Zapp & Roger trying to piece together the events of a particularly rowdy bender in the morning, the kind of party where there was more than enough “Bionic Pu**y” to go around.
