Last week, St. Louis crooner Coultrain had some questions about who’s controlling the machine. But in a reasonably short amount of time, he appears to have found an answer. It arrives by way of a new single/non-album track “When 2 and 2 Make 1”, a fully encompassing stunner. I’m personally not 100 percent what he’s referring to when he sings “and if there’s an endless mystery I think I’ve found it/ when 2 and 2 make 1,” but it sounds damn good when he does. Maybe it’ll all make sense when his new album drops April 23.
