Cody ChesnuTT – “Do Better to the Young”

I’m thinking a lot of you might agree with me on this statement: It’s been way, way, way too long since we last heard an official project from Cody ChesnuTT. His debut, which is also his only album at this point, dropped in 2002. That’s a pretty damn big gap between releases, Mr. ChesnuTT, even though I understand part of your genius is steeped in your mystique and likely crazy creative process. But I’ll be damned if I don’t want a follow-up to The Headphone Masterpiece, also known as one of the best lo-fi experiments of the past decade. Apparently he’s been working on that second project, though, along with an EP to preface it. And “Do Better to the Young”, is the first leak from the Black Skin/No Value EP…or perhaps the Landing On A Hundred album. Either way, new Cody ChenuTT = a reason to celebrate.
