The UK beat scene has continued to explode in 2012, but one country we haven’t heard as much from is Ireland. Sean Cooley and Kevin A. Freeney, known best as Clu, want to change that. Their new single enlists female vocalist Gemma Dunlovely for a stuttering exploration of their darkened production. Moaning and groaning, deep vocal samples splatter across the dubbed-out percussion, as Dunlovely fades in and out with her soothing tones. We aren’t sure if this will land on an upcoming album, or if it is a standalone single. Either way, we are most definitely on the lookout for more tunes from this duo. Listen to “Moonrunner” below.
