Countless musicians manage themselves and their creations independently, drifting along in an enclosed, niche circuit that sometimes fails to materialize outside of the poster-laden bedroom. A select few of those artists, though, have the talent, musical output and know-how to transcend the very bedroom walls that shelter their creative process and enter the ears of fans the world over.
Jeremy Malvin, otherwise known as Chrome Sparks, fits into the latter categorization. Sparks slips into his music so many environmental textures, accents, twinkling beat changes and shifting melodies that an individual with the attention span of a rat would fail to lose focus. Today, the Brooklynite blesses us with his newest release in “Goddess”, a gorgeous journey that retains a level of excitement and heavenly allure for the entirety of it’s five-plus minute duration.
