Chrome Canyon – “Memories Of A Scientist” (Matthewdavid Remix)

Chrome Canyon’s Stones Throw debut Elemental Themes was a swift journey through the instrumental depths of the ’80s. It didn’t quite receive the same buzz as other records from the label, but it did indeed achieve its goal of bringing back sleezy synthesizers and grooving 808s. To hopefully put a little jump into the release that has already passed, Chrome Canyon enlists Matthewdavid to put his own spin on lead single “Memories Of A Scientist“. The end result maintains the core aesthetic, while adding chilling depth and distance to the instrumentation.
