“Queens get the money” should absolutely be the anthem of early 2012. We have been hearing nothing but that ill shit from the NYC borough this year. First it was Action Bronson, then it was Big Baby Gandhi, and now it’s Children of the Night, a talented rapper trio from Queens that actually dropped their tape earlier this week.
But hey, I missed it, so here we are. Anyway, their new release, Queens…Revisited, finds the three spitters tackling some of the finest production we’ve heard from, well, dudes outside of NYC. We’re talking Detroit’s Black Noi$e and Skywlkr, Chicago’s Thelonious Martin, and Odd Future’s Left Brain and Matt Martians. Pretty strong lineup, no? It is, and not only that, but it features one of the year’s best gritty-as-fuck hip-hop joints in the Roc Marciano-assisted “’86 Mets”.
Um, so why haven’t you download this yet?
