I know what you might be thinking, “Man, that’s a grainy picture of Cannibal Ox.” Well, yeah, it is, but I know what else you might be thinking, “Wait, didn’t y’all just report that they’re playing a reunion show in Brooklyn next month? What else could they be doing?” OH, I don’t know, how about releasing a follow-up to their classic 2001 album, Cold Vein, next year. Yeah. YEAH. OK, so El-P probably won’t be involved but still: let’s be optimistic here.
According to Pigeons & Planes, Vordul Mega said the following:
“We never broke up, but the timing is now right for a new Cannibal Ox LP. Iron Galaxy Records is about to take over.”

The only album these 2 ever released I cared about was Cold Vein. None of their solo’s measured up to it. EL-P made this group, once he stopped producing for them it just got less interesting. Vast even had Pete Rock doing beats for him on Dueces Wild and still couldn’t deliver anything worthwhile. It is what it is
El-P and Cannibal OX would be amazing again; however, I do not think that will happen. I could be wrong, though. I hope I am. There are some producers out here on that same wavelength, so it might still work out to be an amazing album.
if El Producto is not producing it, I will be considerably less interested in it.
Fuck. Yes.
