Brother Ali doesn’t only rap about the societal issues he sees everyday. He also takes a stand against them, even if means it’ll cost him some time behind bars. It appears that he was one of 13 people arrested at a Occupy Homes rally in his hometown of Minneapolis yesterday. He was charged with trespassing and refusing to depart, a rap sheet that cost him $50 bail. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 5.
Just got home from jail. 13 of us arrested showing solidarity with the Cruz family and Occupy Homes worldwide. The struggle continues.
