Our first idea of what Bon Iver would sound like over a truly expansive cinematic experience was with single “Holocene“, thanks to filmmaker Nabil Elderkin. Today Nabil takes a second crack at the work of Bon Iver, setting things in slow-motion once again in an absolutely beautiful setting, mostly on Indian reserves in Washington state. With main character Mystic prowling the forest and ocean, I couldn’t have pictured a better person to portray to a song as moving as “Towers”. Bon Iver, Bon Iver is out now.
