Blue Scholars – “Lumiere” (The XX Intro Remix)

Blue Scholars, hip-hop stalwarts from Seattle, fire up a fusion track of the finest order.  Indie heads will immediately recognize the ghostly understated beat, courtesy of The XX’s debut album xx – a record I slept on upon release, but recently revisited and really enjoyed. Blue Scholars’ Geologic does his thing here on this remix of  “Lumiere”, interjecting confident rhymes via complex consonance and schemes.
