Blu & Nottz – “Boyz II Men” F. Nitty Scott, MC

blu-nottz-gods-in-the-spiritJust a few days after announcing their joint EP, the rapper-producer duo of Blu and Nottz are here with the first leak off Gods In The Spirit with “Boyz II Men”. It’s a brassy burst of boom-bap made for punching punks when they pop off. Sorry for the consonance right there but it felt necessary given how much Blu loves doing that with his bars. There’s plenty of it on this banger, which features guest vocals from Nitty Scott, MC. Now I must ask: Are you officially hype for the EP? Good, because it’s due out in three weeks (Oct. 22).

You can hear the track below and pre-order the EP on iTunes. That’s the cover art above. It was designed by SKAM2?, who designed A Tribe Called Quest’s classic artwork for Beats, Rhymes & Life.

“Consonance is a poetic device characterized by the repetition of the same consonant two or more times in short succession.”

    So, yea, sorta.

That was more of an alliteration up there, not a consonance, but anyways… nice track
