After surprising us with the J e s u s album earlier this year — turns out it was actually leaked by Mainframe — Blu has prepared a properly mixed and mastered version of the record. It’s set to drop Aug. 30 on vinyl, which is Blu’s preferred medium, and is out now digitally. And to hold over the vinyl-heads, he has delivered the Alchemist-producer “d o o w h o p” as a free download. If you were wondering why I mentioned that Blu prefers vinyl over anything else for J e s u s, this track should pretty much fill you in. It’s so dusty you might start trying to clean your speakers as soon as the vocal sample starts up.
