Drop what you’re doing. I loved Blakroc. It was awesome. Blakroc 2 has new details surfacing and a preview video that’ll have you shaking the monitor, ‘coming soon? Coming soon? What does that mean?’ Blakroc is the Black Keys‘ hip-hop, rock experiment that produced beautiful, smoky, soulful results. Their second album is going to feature Talib Kweli, Jay Electronica, Sean Price, Jim Jones, Wiz Khalifa and U God. The video has several artists who love smoking and its creative effects, but I’m most excited about Jay Electronica. The lineup that this album is set to drop on us, accompanied by Ohio’s blues brothers, makes me think this is going to be some raw hip-hop. Damon Dash, you’re a damn genius. [via]
