As you can probably gather from its title and the accompanying artwork, Intimate Moment With Mary isn’t about some female that left a mark on Birthday’s life. Rather, it’s the cloud rap producer’s ode to marijuana, a source of inspiration and relief for more musicians and rappers that you could probably care to count. And as you might expect, Birthday’s resulting music has a blunted edge, though it’s also unbelievably melodic, soothing, and primed for relaxation. Yeah, that sounds about right.
