Here we have the first single from Big K.R.I.T. and Grillade’s forthcoming collaborative EP that finds the two acts recreating choice cuts from the rapper-producer’s K.R.I.T. Wuz Here. You know, his 2010 free album-turned-actual album that had him blowing up all over the damn place. Not literally, of course. That would be awful. Anyway, one of the sites catching on to his talents was Yours Truly, which linked the Mississippi native with Bay Area band Grillade. Together they’re making the already-soulful and funky joints on K.R.I.T.’s that much funkier and more soul-infused. The big thanks for that goes to Grillade’s Ragen Fykes, whose vocals grow more and more enticing with each track she blesses.
