We’ve mentioned the relatively unknown BeachesBeaches on Potholes in the past. We still know he’s from Bellingham, Wash., and…that’s about it. But the new that we bring you today is his album FourFour. The music? It can definitely can be identified as chillwave but a big difference between BeachesBeaches and other artists are the drums. The kicks and snares would sound perfect under any hip-hop producers sample chops. They hit. And that’s evident on my favorite track on the album “LAdy”. The whole project sounds like the musical incarnation of the moment when a beam of light breaks through a crack in a cave that has trapped you for a week. Deep.
