For those of you who gave Beach Fossils‘ self-titled debut a listen and decided it wasn’t worth your time, I urge you all to give it another go. I fell for that same trap as I thought that all the songs sounded monotonous and boring. But once you begin to understand this lo-fi band and all they have to offer, you realize that there is much more to their music than just second-rate guitar grooves and boring lyrics. “Calyer” takes this to another level, the first single from their upcoming EP What a Pleasure, which will be available on February 22 via Captured Tracks.
