When Balam Acab isn’t tickling my nostalgia bone (pause?) with remixes, he’s dropping off singles as a preview of his forthcoming album, Wander / Wonder. And his latest, “Motion”, features the R&B-influenced producer churning out one of the more beautiful tracks I’ve heard in recent memory. It’s layered, thick but not overwhelmingly so, and has enough bounce to not put you to sleep.
