Ayatollah – “Reefer”

We previously posted Cocoon leak “Lonely Girl”, a mini-banger built on a chopped vocal sample and huge drums. But this time around, this Queens producer is taking you on a slightly experimental journey as “Reefer” floats around on a steady guitar riff and erratic drums. I’m digging how he decided to go with a clearly different, yet familiar sound on here that should (hopefully) appeal to hip-hop heads all around. And I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised to see such a good video accompanying an instrumental track.
