As the onslaught of storms overtake the east coast this weekend, I was really craving a soft soundtrack to sweep me away. Atlas Sound, the solo side project of Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox, has answered my calling. Soothing my soul with smooth guitar-work and cradling lyrics, “Terra Incognita” makes me want to curl up in a little ball and start reading some Hemingway. “Terra Ingocnita” is the first sampling off Atlas Sound’s upcoming album, Parallax, which will be available Nov. 8 on 4AD.
