It’s been a minute since we previously wrote about Astronautalis, but we’re doing our best to make it up to the quick-witted Minneapolis, Minn.-based rapper here. Dude’s been causing some damage on the charts lately with his new album, This Is Our Science, which debuted at number 32 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. Not bad for a dude with minimal coverage, right? His success is well deserved as this is his most fully realized and accessible effort to date. Proving that point for me is “Contrails”, his new single with Tegan Quin, of Tegan and Sara, that now has some slick visuals. Don’t sleep on this dude like I did.

This is one of those songs that realistically I should love (I’m a total backpacker and lyrics nerd) but for some reason I don’t connect at all with it. I’ll try again later.
