As I read through the e-mail from Vancouver-based producer AstroLogical, something immediately caught my eye — the art for his latest album, Far Far Away. Then, when I read that he loves psychedelic music from the 1960s and ’70s and makes jazz and electronic influenced hip-hop, I was a goner. Well, a goner in terms of being lovestruck with his smooth production. He gave some of it away for free last year with Living Fossils, but that was just the precursor for his recently released Far Far Away.
