As we reported this past April, A$AP Rocky revealed that he was working on an instrumental album on his own. This wasn’t too much of a surprise, seeing how he had a hand in some of the beats on his debut, LongLiveA$AP. But still, we weren’t expecting dude to put out an entire record full of beats. He spoke with MTV yesterday about the project, which he’s calling Beauty and the Beast: Slowed Down Sessions (Chapter 1). It’s due out before the summer’s end and will be a free download (hooray!), and here’s how Rocky described the sound we can expect on it:
“It’s [called Beauty and the Beast] because everything is like classical beautiful music and boom-bap Wu-Tang shit mixed together. It’s slowed down and it’s real vibey, with no lyrics. I feel like it’s gonna get people through the summer.
“I think people are gonna be intrigued by it because it’s actually good,” he continued. “I wouldn’t do nothing that I didn’t feel confident or comfortable about. I think people gonna like this shit.”
Thoughts?

“like classical beautiful music and boom-bap Wu-Tang shit mixed together” – so down for it
