Darkwave is the daddy of witchouse and it doesn’t come with all of the unnecessary shapes that would have been better left to a store-brand Lucky Charms knockoff. The last couple years have been filled with so much gothic lean music that it makes it really refreshing to hear good darkwave that isn’t from the 1980s.
Arc Light is a one-man-act from Brooklyn specializing in the aforementioned genre and he’s doing it well. “Meet At The Poles” is one of the tracks that stood out the most. Full of energy, while being loud and fuzzy. Well done.
