I’ve always wondered what would happen if the worlds of punk, trip-hop, funk and all-around experimentation were to collide. Well, not really, but at least now I know! Portishead member Geoff Barrow has linked up with singer/musician Anika for her self-titled debut album, coming in December on Stones Throw Records. “Yang Yang” is our first taste of what this esoteric singer has to offer, and it’s pretty darn interesting, if declassifiable.
