OK, I get it. Some of you are still holding on to the whole Emanon part of Aloe Blacc’s career. And yeah, I don’t really blame you as he was a pretty damn good rapper. But I’ll be damned if he’s also not a talented singer with a unique, soulful voice. Anyway, we’ve posted the studio version of this track, which many of you know as the theme for How to Make it in America, aka another shit-tacular HBO show. This time, Stones Throw has released live studio footage of Aloe and his band performing “I Need a Dollar“. The results, as expected, are fantastic and it’s great to see how much fun they’re having recording this cut.

Great track from what will (probably) be the best album of 2010. I got the leaked version, and it seems as though there is one track change, and the order is different…whatever. Great album, cannot wait to buy it.
