11/11/11. If you’re on Twitter, or likely anywhere on the Internet in a couple weeks you are bound to be bludgeoned with folks reminding you of how weird it is that numbers on the calendar changed for a day. For Alecks Awklr, who we featured a couple months back, it’s when he’ll be releasing his new EP, Leaving, from which we have a few tracks. My favorite of the sampling is the title track, which features a quote from The Matrix: “Being the one is just like being in love. No one needs to tell you you are in love, you just know it, through and through.” Wouldn’t that be a perfect sample to be paired with a rapper writing a love song to himself?
