By now, it should be obvious RiFF RaFF is a persona. His real name is Horst Simco. He’s the brother of pro snowboarder Viktor Simco.

They both grew up in Minnesota. Horst didn’t move down to Houston until he turned 20. That’s when he started rapping & creating his Jody Highroller / RiFF RaFF persona. The accent, the mannerisms – it’s all a performance. He’s in his early 30s now.

I think it’s hilariously entertaining. But forget about authenticity. He’s not a Southern ghetto survivor. He’s basically a comedian with a Midwest middle class suburban upbringing.

I dont mind Riff Raff mainly for the fact that he’s different. But how does Nas – Life Is Good and this album get the same score. Are you saying Life is good is the same or a little better than this album?

The tracks he makes with Sir Action Bronson are always tight. lyrically he sounds like machine gun kelly and everyone else but style and wit he is on point.
