It’s usually the homie Johnathan Kochis that sheds some light on the ill-as-fuck music coming from Connecticut label Grappa Frisbee Records. But after he posted K-Lash’s Solar Bump last week, I wanted to make sure we hadn’t missed out on any GFR goodness. Turns out we did because in early August, some cat named AiS dropped a rad free EP by the name of Songs That Aren’t On The Radio. Among other gnarly remixes/reworks, there’s a ridiculously filthy chopped-and-screwed take on Common’s “The Corner” called “Poor People Are Crazy”.
