If there’s a more rapidly delivered, stream-of-consciousness track than this “Tick-Tock-Boom” one from Ace Cosgrove, I’m unaware of it. The latest bit from the DMV artist is swift in every sense of the definition; from the often-incongruent, but always intriguing lines that simply press onwards, to the accelerated background beat provided by UK producer JFJames, the track goes. There’s absolutely no looking back once Ace begins his breathless tirade on the mic, and before you’ve time to analyze what all has been spoken about, the effort is over. It requires a few listens to truly appreciate, but it definitely whets our interest in his upcoming project released later in the month.
