AbJo says, “Sankofa means ‘to return from whence you came’, but to me it also means to re-complete the cycle…to basically go back to your roots again.” His roots: classical music, jazz (Madlib, Dilla), The Roots and father’s music collection. So many influences, deeper the roots, makes good music.
