In probably the worst interview I have ever seen (how many times can you say “ratchet” in seven minutes?), A$AP Rocky reveals that he has plans of creating and releasing a self-produced instrumental album. Despite having access to probably the best list of producers in the game, he thought it would be cool to see how his fans react to something of this sort. Now, I don’t know about you, but I am rather skeptical about this. But, if he can really put some effort behind this project, maybe it ends up being pretty good.
There won’t be a huge push behind it either, so it might serve as an interesting side-project as we wait for some new tunes from the A$AP crew. Watch the interview below. “Have you had a chance to hang out really like ratchetly with rihanna?” Kill me.

jesus, i hope someone destroys the master copy of this before it can plague any of our ears. stick to just wearing clothes Rocky, he’s slowly revealing that music is not for him
I’ll definitely check it out, but I’m wary of how well it will work. I think my main concern is how guys like K.R.I.T. and now Cudi are stretching themselves too thin trying to do EVERYTHING, ya know?
He produced a bunch of the tracks on LLA and they are actually really dope, even alongside Clams etc
He does the drums for one song and adds some storm noises and now he wants to do an instrumental album? Aight. I’ll stream it.
I’ll check it out. I like this generation of rappers attempting to also be their producers so they can have more control over their own sound.
