A Gap Between – “Neon Signs”

I am sorry, this picture has nothing to do with A Gap Between. What it does have to do with, though, is the amount of sleazy 80’s influence that is poured all over “Neon Signs”. That’s right, everything from the cheesy vocals to the grimey synths, this is a real blast to the decade I was (barely) born in.  And let me tell you, I can’t stand much of the music that came out of that age, but for some reason this song rings a bell for me. 1. I dislike oldies, too, but A Gap Between is just SO beautifully melancholic for some reason! I like the song Orange Horizon even more than this one, although they’re both phenomenal. Thank You so much!! 🙂

  2. you might be abit young but 80s was a time when creativity in music exploded. funk in the 80s and all that followed was crazy.
you had Prince and Michael Jackson two of the greatest artists ever explode in the 80s.

and if you look at music in this decade its lost its creativity.

but it looks like 80s influence is back on again and the decade will be the 1980s 2.0.

with artists like theophilus london, little dragon, sa-ra, flying lotus etc leading the way.

and if your looking at 80s influence on modern day hip hop look no further then theophilus london. and his hit songs ‘humdrum town’ and ‘hey wonderful’
