He’s Taking Text’s Music Off Spotify
Artists removing/keeping their music off Spotify isn’t anything new. Plenty hold out on putting their material on the streaming services and others of its nature for numerous reasons. For one, they don’t make much money from the streams. Also, they could just sell it directly via other avenues that allow streaming (Bandcamp) or just throw it on Soundcloud and continue building their brand.
What makes Hebden’s move so much better and noteworthy is the messages he sent out when he announced the news. LOLing so hard at the third tweet.
I am having all the Text releases taken off Spotify.

And it’s nice to be able to tell some of these big companies to go fuck themselves once in a while.

Good article. It’s completly understandable that this dude knows how to propely use his twitter – after all he is not a trying hard hipster or an ignorant ego obsessed rapper. He looks like a nice intelligent dude who has things to say.
Other than his twitter (btw twitter is the worst thing ever), his music speaks louder than anything. I know that many people don’t like his last few releases but even there, he is way more creative than most modern artists who just dickride the newest lo-fi/chillwave/cloud/witch trends without originality.
We need more Kieran’s and less attention whores who have nothing to say….like todays rappers.
