Run The Jewels
Run The Jewels, they were hyped and the small crowd that was there for them was passionate, but ultimately they were too early in the day and the crowd wasn’t big enough to match their energy. Below photo by Cameron Finn.
Set of the day BY FAR. And P-Thugg looks like Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane in Iron Man.
WEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK. The only interesting part was him talking as he let the “Runaway” beat ride out saying he’s Kanye West and he does whatever the fuck he wants, which apparently includes making wack-ass appearances at music festivals. The set didn’t gain momentum until about an hour in with “Runaway” and “Touch the Sky,” and it petered out soon after that. Cutting “Bound 2” short and transitioning to “Blood on the Leaves,” WHICH HE HAD ALREADY PERFORMED, to close was awkward and unsatisfying. It’s hard to think that he would put on such a subpar performance if he were performing a show on his own tour. For all his showmanship skills, not a single one was on display on Friday.
