Been waiting for some new Duj to be released, and today we get quite the special treat! I am a bit disappointed that this song has tags, but hey, we can’t win them all. And this joint must be fresh if I am posting it WITH tags. I really do hate tags. This one comes with a killer feature from Sharon Jones of The Dap Kings. Be sure to catch Dujeous’ full project, Day In, Day Out very soon, which is where this single will reside.
We have been following David Dallas for a while now, so it’s only right we hit you with this remix featuring another homie, Buff1. This single will be featured as a bonus cut on David Dallas’ upcoming single, “I Get The Feelin.” It will also appear on Buff’s free project, It’s A 1derful World, which drops this Wednesday! Two projects that I am absolutely hyped for. Check out this awesome track and let us know what you think… [Via TSS]
Stormy represents a collaborative effort by two of Chicago’s finest, Pugs Atomz and Rashid Hadee. Both have made splashes already this year so it only makes sense that they would team up and tackle a project together. Hadee handles most of the production, except for a few guests like Fathom 9 and Tall Black Guy. And there aren’t a lot of guest MCs either — only one, actually, from Von Pea. Stormy is sponsored by and brought to you by the fine folks at Fake Shore Drive and DJBooth. Hit the jump for the rear artwork/track list.
Marty spotted this over at URB, and I am now posting it for his lazy busy ass. Not that I wouldn’t post it myself, this is some real fire right here! In light of El Michels Affair’s Enter the 37th Chamber, we get a remix track with the good old Diamond District folks. This is the first single from URB’s Enter the 38th Chamber project, which will feature a slew of other dope artists along with this track. Check it out and leave us your thoughts…
The latest beat tape from Falside, who hails from Providence, R.I., serves two functions. First and foremost, he promises — and I’m sure he delivers on this promise — that Cold Feat is better than the tape he dropped this summer, Bugs In Ya Teef, which was a nice effort itself. Beyond that, Fal also appears on the Ocean State Sampler that drops tomorrow and features all new, mostly exclusive tracks from some of Rhode Island’s best rappers and producers. As usual, give this tape a listen and let us know if you’re feeling it.
Here is some fresh RJD2 featuring a Potholes guilty pleasure, Kenna. This is the first single from The Colossus, which will be available shortly! Don’t have too much other information, but definitely give this a spin as we sit and wait for some new RJD2… Props to the homie Mike Schreiber on the photo!
Here comes the sampler for Moka’s 6th annual Martian Xmas album. Something a bit different from the usual Moka, but an excellent listen nonetheless. From the words of Moka, this album is suppose to emulate the sentiment a martian would feel when he arrives on earth and has nothing to connect with besides the music. And since it’s almost December, this is a nice listen to get you in the holiday mood. Check it out and share some thoughts…
Here’s some fresh Cymarshall Law featuring JS-1 on the cuts and D-Slaps on the production. With the track, we also get word that Cy has signed up with the homie Kevin Nottingham to release his upcoming EP on HIPNOTT Records. The EP will be called Creator’s Kid, and you will be able to get your hands on that January 19th. For now, give this joint a listen and let us know what you think…
Here is the first single from Jabee & aDDLibs, Black Cotton 2. The first installment was solid, but you can tell these guys have been grinding hard. This joint has taken this duo to the next level, on both the lyrical and production front. Check it out and be ready to cop the project in February, to coincide with Black History Month.
This past week I sat down with one of NC’s finest, Kam Moye, to break down a few tracks off his latest album. Emerging as one of hip-hop’s underground heavyweights, the emcee formerly known as Supastition comes correct with Splitting Image. Check it out as Kam sheds some new light on “Re:Born,” “Hello Karma,” “Splitting Image,” “Give Out, Give In,” “Life Line,” and “Nobody’s Fool,” including audio clips from all these tracks!
