Over the past year or so, some previously mythological/never-going-to-drop albums have indeed either been released or started their promotional cycle. One of the most surprising single drops of the year came in January with “Pay the Price“, the comeback release of Deltron 3030. Equally worthy of a “is this really happening?” (though not quite as exciting) is the news that Papoose’s Nacirema Dream is finally dropping tomorrow, March 26.
With these occurrences in mind, we began thinking about other projects that will probably never see the light of day. We already wrote about one them somewhat recently while others fall into the trap of “maybe this album’s time has past” in terms of relevancy. Some of those particular projects are heavily related to super-group formations that fell apart before they really even started.
And just to make it clear: we most certainly would love it if even ONE of these 12 albums dropped. We just don’t think they ever will. Also, sorry, Nas, but you’re all over this list so we just had to lead with you.
