Sample-chopper 100 Akres appeared on Potholes last November when Potholes writer Craig Jenkins hipped us all to the producer’s beat tape tribute to Pat Benatar. After we broke a sweat dancing around in headbands and tights — OK, not really — we dried off and awaited Akres’ next project. Like clockwork, he comes through with another great lil’ tape. He’s calling it The Blankety Blank Beat Tape, so you’re going to need to download this one and figure out just who is getting chopped up. All I know is that the cover art looks like Keith Sweat … but that’s just me.
